Briar Hill Health Care Residence is located in beautiful Geauga County, in the quaint village of Middlefield, Ohio. Established in 1966, we provide a full spectrum of health care services to those living in Cleveland’s eastern suburbs, as well as Lake, Ashtabula, Geauga, Cuyahoga, Portage, Summit and surrounding counties. Our campus is surrounded by sidewalks and tall trees and is described by visitors as friendly, warm and welcoming.

Briar Hill Health Care Residence is located in Middlefield, Ohio, just 50 minutes from downtown Cleveland, less than an hour away from Cleveland’s world-class medical centers. Nearly hospitals also include UH Geauga Medical Center, Hillcrest Hospital, Lake Hospital System, Trumbull Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph’s Health Center. Fine dining establishments, hotels, recreational and cultural activities, and shopping opportunities are conveniently close by.

The shared cottages at Briar Hill feature an array of amenities one would come to expect in an active senior community.
A full range of amenities and services are included in one monthly fee, including chef-designed and prepared meals, utilities, local telephone service, cable TV, a car garage and full housekeeping, laundry and maintenance services. Each home is furnished, has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry area, dining room and living room, while each resident has the privacy of their own bedroom and bath to decorate as they wish.
Our shared, cottage-style homes are located adjacent to the Briar Hill Health Care Residence campus. For safety and security, residents have the added advantage of healthcare monitoring and the comfort of knowing that assistance is close by. Physician offices, shopping, banking, the library, post office and restaurants are all within walking distance. Social activities are provided and there are many opportunities to develop new friendships.
