The decision to place your loved one in a nursing care facility can be a difficult one. What your heart wants to do is often at odds with what your mind knows is best. It is important for you to be confident that your loved one is receiving the kind of attention you would provide at home. At Williams County Hillside Country Living, HCL, we have created a complete caring community. As seniors age, their needs and abilities change. We are familiar with the unique needs of senior adults and provide continuous quality of life as physical and emotional changes take place. This means a more peaceful transition for both you and your loved one. Located on 160 acres, HCL offers several living options in a peaceful country setting.

The Heights offer independent living for seniors able to manage on their own but may be overwhelmed by responsibility or loneliness. The apartments meet a wide range of mobility needs and are designed to provide the privacy of home within a secure environment. An emergency call system ensures that tenants are always within reach of help. Dinner and supper are available in The Heights if desired.

The Village consists of 20 assisted-living apartments, which enable seniors in need of minimal assistance to maintain an independent lifestyle. Dinner and supper are provided in the Cranbrook Great Room, our beautiful dining area overlooking the grounds of the Village.

At The Heritage, we provide 24 hour nursing care for residents who need the supervision and assistance of a skilled-care facility. As the senior's dependence on others increases, we respectfully maintain the dignity and individuality of each person.

Anna's House offers specialized care in a family atmosphere for those experiencing memory impairments. A familiar routine, the comfort of home and the security of an adaptive social environment protect the dignity and safety of the residents in Anna's House.

We invite you to visit HCL unannounced. We give high quality care all the time, so we never have to prepare for your visit. You are always welcome, and we are always happy to greet you. A visit to HCL will give you peace of mind about your decision. You will see first­ hand that:

THE HEIGHTS

We know how important it is for seniors to maintain their independence as they make the move from a life-long home. When the everyday responsibilities or loneliness have become too much, the apartments at The Heights offer the privacy and comfort of home with the peace of mind that comes from knowing assistance is readily available if needed.

We have thoughtfully and tastefully designed all the apartments to give each one a unique look and feel. Colors, fabrics and appliances have been carefully selected to reflect the comfort and warmth of home. Bright living areas and cozy design make each apartment a comfortable, pleasant place to live.

We want these apartments to be more than just a place to live -- we want them to become each person's new home. For that reason, tenants bring their own furnishings and decorative items that will personalize their living areas by adding their own special touch.

As with all of our programs, the safety of our tenants is of utmost importance to us. To provide added peace of mind for both tenants and families, an emergency call system is located in the bedrooms of all apartments. Pendants can also be provided when needed. These pendants will alert staff to emergency situations if the individual is not within reach of the wall mounted call system.

Dinner and supper, if desired, can be enjoyed in the lovely dining room on the first floor of The Heights. Meals are served family style to maintain the warmth and intimacy of home. We serve the largest meal of the day at noon.

Spacious laundry rooms are available on each floor for the convenience of the residents. Each laundry room is equipped with modern washers and dryers. In the interest of comfort, lounge areas are located on the second floor so tenants may rest or visit while waiting for their laundry to finish.

Utilities (other than telephone service) and refuse service, as well as lawn, sidewalk and parking lot maintenance are included in the monthly rent. Additional services such as housekeeping, meals and barber/beauty appointments are available for an additional fee.

Our goal at The Heights is to provide living quarters that are comfortable, private and safe. We are dedicated to helping seniors maintain their highest level of independence for as long as possible. Should a person begin to need more assistance than is available at The Heights, we will work with the individual and family to make a smooth transition to one of the other living settings within HCL.
