Preparing for retirement is something that doesn’t happen overnight, it’s something that, like a tree, grows from a seed that you plan decades in advance. However, given how the laws have been amended lately to assist those that didn’t save as much in their earlier years, it’s still possible for everyone to save a little bit extra so that their retirement years can be spent in happiness and prosperity - instead of pinching pennies.

This blog will be my journey to decipher the intricacies of retirement topics so that one day, when I’m ready to retire, I won’t be caught empty-handed. The government will seek to protect you from yourself with social security, medicare/medicaid, and other programs but the reality is you are responsible for your retirement. Take charge!
