The Springfield Masonic Community (SMC) is where seniors can find the freedom to pursue their passions. The community offers independent living garden villa homes, apartments, assisted nursing apartments, skilled nursing care, dementia care and physical therapy for seniors ages 55-older on our campus in Springfield, Ohio. The campus is open to non-Masons and Masons alike.

Springfield Masonic Community is like a small city with dining options, mail service, a physical fitness center, religious services, library, convenient indoor underground walkway connecting the main buildings and more.

Masonic Community residents also have priority access to the skilled nursing facilities located on the Springfield campus. Skilled nursing care services are available, from respite and intermediate care to skilled and dementia care, on a fee–for–service basis through private pay, Medicare and Medicaid. The Pathways Center for Alzheimer's Care is a custom designed facility based on dementia care research featuring spacious private bedrooms, open community areas, inviting and secure courtyards and intimate family style dining.

Surrounded by an attentive team of health care professionals – including a full–time Medical Director, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, state tested nursing assistants and other supportive staff – residents receive the kind of helpful attention and quality health services they need and deserve. Our team also includes an Assistant Medical Director and several other physicians specializing in internal medicine, family practice and/or geriatrics, yet our residents always have the right to choose their own physicians.

Continuity of care and convenience are our goals in offering on-site clinics, including podiatry, dentistry, audiology, rheumatology, orthopedic, optometry, ophthalmology, dermatology and cardiology. Therapy services are also available on–site by a professional and caring team. Physical Therapy involves strengthening, endurance, and mobility while Occupational Therapy assists with improving the activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and eating. Speech Therapy can assist with communication skills, cognition and swallowing. For spiritual support, we have a full–time chaplain and two part–time chaplains available to residents. Non–denominational worship services are offered each Sunday in our chapel.

Masonic Communities offer a wide variety of activities designed to encourage residents to be mentally and physically active. Small group activities, such as exercise, current events, pet visits and crafts take place each day.

Each resident's individuality and independent pursuits are of primary importance and influence the type of activities scheduled. Large groups, holiday events and social activities are scheduled each month. In addition, one–to–one and supportive activities are provided for residents who are not able, or choose not to participate in, group activities.
